Forgiveness in Family Mediation

  • Opera Plaza 601 Van Ness Avenue San Francisco, CA, 94102 United States (map)

Trainer: Katharina W. Dress, MA

Strained family dynamics, especially unforgiven injuries from the past, prevent many families from successfully communicating and collaborating across generations. If they seek help in Family Mediation, their unresolved hurt can get in the way of finding solutions for the present and future. Creating space to address pain from the past BEFORE discussing possible agreements for the future can be crucial to a successful mediation.

Katharina’s training offers an introduction to a simple “Healing and Reconciliation Process (H&R)” to help lead mediation parties towards forgiveness and self-forgiveness, so they can create deeper connection and open up new possibilities for mutual understanding and collaboration.
